Conference

I was able to go to General Conference with two of my friends Lacey and Marissa. We was a blast talking, singing and laughing in the car on the way out there. We got about 3 hours of sleep before we had to get up and be at the Morning Session on Saturday.

Paris and London

I FINALLY made it to Europe!!! I went with my mom over New Years. We fly into Paris and spent 3 days there. We saw the outside of the Louvre, and Notre Dame. I saw the Eiffel Tower, and Arc De  Triumph. and so many other things. One night my mom and I were walking around, and we stopped at a street vendor for out dinner; mt mom got French Onion Soup and I got a delicious crepe that had Nutella and banana slices. We also went out the the Palace of Versailles. It was so so beautiful!!! Also while we were there we stopped at one of the Channel stores, and I got myself earrings. Best purchase ever!!!

England swings like a pendulum do
Bobbies on bicycles, two by two
Westminster Abbey, the tower of Big Ben
The rosy red cheeks of the little children

In London we saw most of the big, famous spots in one day. We went to the Tower of London, which I think was my favorite place there! I wish I had all day to spend there. I want to go back to London for at least a week and go everywhere again!! But spend a lot more time in each place.

In Bath we went to the Royal Crest, and drank the waters there. If you drink the water then you are guaranteed to live longer. I also met people that my Mom met, and taught while she was on her mission in England. That was a lot of fun!!!

Craft Project/ Painting Party

Becky, Whitney, and I had a shoe painting party. it started out with Becky and Whitney. They found some pretty cool shoes online, and decided to paint thier own pairs of Disney inspired shoes. I came into the game super late, and I painted a pretty lame pair of soes (the last picture) I wanted to do something from Alice In Wonderland, but it all seemed really hard. So I ended up with a very unique Cheshire Cat shoes. Becky and whit kept going on with their shoes, which they did and amazing job, and I decided that I could do Better. So I decided to make Sleeping Beauty Shoes. Tell me what you think about them.

Whitney and her pair of Tangled shoes. It is the mural on the wall that she paints in the movie.

Becky's pair of UP shoes. It is the classic poster for the movie. Both girls did a GREAT job with their pairs.
My first attempt at painting....Can you see why I tried again with Becky and Whitney's awesome Shoes?!

Good Book

Okay- So I said that I was going to read good books in my Year Of Fun. So the first book was "Something Borrowed". Cute book. My friends Becky and Jessica recommended it to me, and so I read it. I like that there is so much more development in books than movies. ( I also saw the movie) But now I need to read the book after this one "Something Blue". I hope the next one is as cute as this one.

Sara Bareilles and Sugarland

This is Becky and I waiting to get into the concert. First let me say that the concert was AWESOME!!! Both acts were great. But I have to admit that I did not really know anything by Sugarland before this concert. I mean, I had heard a few songs, but I did not really know them. I am now a fan of Sugarland. And then there is Sara. The reason I wanted tickets in the first place. She was so good! I love her music. If you have not heard her stuff- look her up!! I have to say though, that my favorite part of the concert was at the end when Sara came out on stage and sang "Come on Eileen" with Sugarland. FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC!! And here are a few other pics for you. But there was one sad thing, my camera battery died right after Sugarland started, So I only have a few, really bad pictures from them. But I only put one up.

Happy 30th Birthday Shelly!!!!!!

For my good friend Shelly's 30th birthday- her close friends got together to celebrate. We met at our friend Jenny's house, who just recently turned 30, to start all the fun. We had dinner and got all dolled up for a fun night in the city by the Bay. Our first stop was an Irish pub that featured Dueling Pianos. What a fun experience! We sang, laughed, and they pulled the Birthday girl up on stage to sing Happy Birthday to her. After we were done there we headed over to Rickshaw Stop Dance club. It was 60's themed. They even had people there to style hair from that era. And when we were done dancing the night away we headed back to Jenny's again fro a little more fun. A few people spent the night, and we woke up to a wonderful breakfast! It was a fun night with fun people! Me and the birthday girl!
Waiting for the Dueling Piano's to start

SHOES!!!!

I found a picture of one of the best ideas for a pair of shoes I have to make myself. And if you know me, you will know why I love these shoes!

I See London, I See France.... Well, I will at least!!!

So, my best friend Jessica and I are planning a trip to Europe this Fall. We have decided to go to the 2 places I have ALWAYS wanted to go. PARIS and LONDON!!!! I am so so so excited. We are going to start out in Paris. We are doing all the touristy things in each place. So while in Paris we are going to go to and climb to the top of the Arc De Triomphe, and go to the Eiffel Tower, and we are going to go to Mass at Notre Dame, and go visit the Palace of Versailles. But I am really excited about our night tour of the Louvre!!

After our adventure in Paris we are going to hop the pond and experience London. We are going down to Bath and drink of the ancient waters there, and go to see Stonehenge. We are going to visit Westminster Abby, and Windsor Castle, see the crown jewel's, and go on the Eye of London- which we must remember to Mind The Gap!!

Just thought I would share some of the plans for my fall season. Hope you all have a fun adventure with your best friend, like I am going to have with mine!!!

Ingrid Michaelson

So, I just wanted to post a special little blog to an artist that I LOVE. Not only do I love her, but my friend Becky, Cami, and Whitney also love her. I have seen her in concert twice (pictures below) and I can not get enough of her music. My friend Cami even knitted me a hat of Blue and Gold because that is in a song of hers. I can not wait until she puts out another cd. And I am hoping that her next tour includes Sacramento or somewhere closer to where I live. So to everyone that has not listened to her music, I hope you do! Plus she is really fun in concert. Becky and I both agree that if she lived around here that we would be friends with her. Which is totally true since the two of us are totally awesome! And we all have a similar sense of humor. So off to hoping for another cd and tour very soon!

The first concert we went to in Redding, CA. Our shirts that were inspires by her cd. We decided to put it on a shirt instead of on our face like the cd cover.

Ingrid singing awayOur second concert was during the Christmas season. It was Her and David Gray. We donated a toy and got a free concert ticket. It was really good!

We were the very front, right two seats of the Center row of chairs. We were really close.
Look!!! We met her!! She signed out shirts. I think all three of us could be cousins!. Well, everyone thinks that Becky and I are sisters, so actually Ingrid would Becky and I's cousin. Don't you agree?

Calimine, Calimine, Calimine Lotion ...

I am writing on honor of Becky. She went out to Maine to work at an awesome looking camp. The name of the camp is Kingsley Pines- and I looked it up and it looks so so fun. It reminded me of the camp I went to as a young girl. She is in charge of archery. The camp also has themed days. They do Pirate days, Disney days. There was a dance where she did her make-up like a member of KISS. She has made so many new friends from all over the world. And the campers in her cabin have also been from around the country and world. I am glad she has this awesome experience. I will try to get her to email me a few fun pictures so I can post them for you all to see.

A Birthday Celebration

So For our friend Whitney's birthday my friends and I went to Disneyland. I know you all think that we go to there too much, but how can you get sick of that place? So on Wednesday April 28th Kaylee, Whitney, Becky, and I all piled into ruby (Becky's car) and set out for the best place to celebrate. We played games in the car, listened. sang to GLEE and *NYSNC and Madonna. It was lots of fun. We got to our hotel which was a castle with gargoyles and everything. The next two days we had so so so much fun in Disneyland and California Adventureland. We found new places, did things we have never done at the parks before. My friend Jessica came up and Whitney's friend Sydney came up. We all went out lunch at the Blue Bayou. And we got to ride on the Lily Bell. Then on Saturday we went to Knott's Berry Farm. I have to say the best part of that was eating the fried chicken dinner. There was way way too much food, but it was so good you couldn't stop eating. Then when we were done at Knott's (which did not take very long) we all piled back into the car and made our journey back home. Here are some pictures so you can be jealous of all the fun we had!!

WICKED

So last week Becky, Whitney, Matthew and I had the opportunity to see WICKED. It was so amazing! I loved everything about it. The sets, the costumes, the songs, etc. Everything was amazing. I am grateful for that opportunity I had to go, and I would like to thank the wonderful people who gave me that experience. They know who they are- so THANK YOU!!! After the show all of us also had the opportunity to meet Teal Wicks. She plays Elphaba (the wicked witch of the west). She was very sweet. The whole night was wonderful. We took the BART in and out of the city. We had a crazy guy on the train on the way back. Here are a few pictures. I know how we all love pictures!! (At least I do)
